Parents will need to fill in parts of the form before returning it to the school office.   Incomplete applications will not be considered as part of the nursery admissions.  Parents are asked to let the school know as soon as they have accepted a Nursery place in order that the place can be offered to another child on the waiting list.

30 HOURS FREE CHILDCARE FOR 3-4 YEAR OLDS

As you may already know, from September 2017, the Government is introducing new funding to allow childcare providers to offer 30 hours free childcare to working parents. At present, all 3 and 4 year olds are already entitled to 15 hours of free childcare a week and this additional 15 free hours will be on offer to families where both parents are working (or the sole parent is working in a lone-parent family), and each parent earns the equivalent of 16 hours a week at the national minimum or living wage, and earns less than £100,000 a year (visit www.gov.uk to check your eligibility).

Currently, this scheme is voluntary and so each childcare provider (child-minder, private nursery school nursery etc) is able to make a choice about whether they want to participate. Woodlands School Nursery will be offering the 30 free hours, however this will be run as part of our existing extended care provision in conjunction with our afternoon Playgroup.

If you think you are eligible and are interested in accessing the extra hours of childcare please contact the School Office. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis – and each child’s needs will then be discussed individually with Parents

Please note, the main priority of the Nursery staff at all times is the welfare of the child and it may be that extended care is not appropriate for every child or that a period of time is needed in order to transition to the full 30 hours requested.

HOW TO APPLY: https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

Please note that if your child has a Nursery place, they are not guaranteed a school place and will need to re-apply.
