We have lots of exciting events and activities happening at Woodlands. Below you will find some photographs of some of these events.
Year 1 Toy Museum Workshop September 2016
We were very lucky to have the 'Toy Museum' workshop from St Albans Museum come into school. During the workshop, a couple of us had the chance to dress up as Victorian children and we saw some of the toys that these children would have played with. We then got the chance to play with some of the toys ourselves. We had lots of fun and are looking forward to learning even more about these toys during our Toys topic this half term.
Rippledown Years 3 and 4 Residential Trip
Rippledown is an LoTC accredited outdoor learning centre on the stunning East Kent Coast.
Marchants Hill 2016
Year 6 enjoyed 45 acres of grounds packed with activities at Marchants Hill in June. Abseil towers, zip wires, low ropes courses, trapezes as well as a giant swing, motor sports track, archery range and a huge multi activity tower. Although the weather was not always at its best it didn't stop them trying all the activities and having a fun time!
Northern Heights 2016
Year 2 residential trip - The heavy rain couldn't dampen year 2's fun on the first day of their over night stay at Northern Heights, if they couldn't go outside then there was plenty to do inside. When the sun shone the next day they took full advantage and went exploring in the woods and fields around the campsite.
The children had a chance to experience life as an adult by working at a variety of jobs and earning 'KidZosin' money. This was used to buy products and services in the safety of KidZania World in West London on 20th May 2016. The more they worked, the more they earned and the more they could experience. It was a fun day out for all the school!
Children practised their French speaking and reading skills by playing games during an activity afternoon.
World Book Day
You couldn't see Woodlands for the Characters on Friday 4th March 2016 when 'World Book Day' came to school!
